This, my friends, is a prayer for peace and clarity in your life no matter WHAT situations you are currently facing.
Lord, I pray that your Holy Spirit shower us and guide us with your peace. I pray that we see our situations the way that you see them God, and that you would transform and renew our minds so that we may see what your perfect will is (as your Word says in Romans 12:2). I pray that you would give us eyes to see and ears to hear what you are showing us and speaking to us Jesus.
Give us perspective on what truly matters, and help us hold dear to the things that do and gently, by the gracious and loving power of your Holy Spirit, let go of the things that don’t. Give us the courage to let GO of things that are holding us back from being all that we can be in this life through the power of your Holy Spirit God.
Instill in us a heart of gratitude and allow us to always be reminded to count our blessings. I pray that, when we get anxious, your Holy Spirit will gently remind us of all the blessings in our life as well as send us a supernatural peace that can ONLY come from your Holy Spirit. I pray over all of us God, the peace that Paul talks about in Philippians 4:6-7 – YOUR peace that surpasses ALL understanding. Shower us with your peace Lord God.
Help us to let go of that extra weight we are holding onto spiritually. Help us to move forward in this race for you Jesus rather than be held back by fears, worries, and unnecessary fixation on things that have no eternal or lasting value.
Hebrews 12:1-2a: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith”, (NLT). (Italics added by me.)
Philippians 4:6-7: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and your minds as you live in Christ Jesus”, (NLT). (Italics added by me.)
2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self–discipline”, (NLT). (Italics added by me.)
